Journey Timeline
Distance: Approx. 515 km (8–10 hours driving time, including stop-overs)
Early Morning:
Depart Nyeri at 8:00 AM to make the most of the day.
Drive towards Isiolo, a journey of about 4 hours.
Mid-Morning:
Stop at Buffalo Springs National Reserve (near Isiolo):
Explore the reserve for 1–2 hours. Spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, and the unique reticulated giraffe.
Enjoy swimming in the natural and therapeutic waters of the popular Buffalo Springs.
Afternoon:
Proceed to Mt. Ololokwe (approx. 2 hours from Buffalo Springs):
Stop at the base of Mt. Ololokwe for breathtaking views of the Samburu landscape.
Take a short hike or enjoy the scenery if time is limited.
Evening:
Continue to Marsabit Town (approx. 4 hours from Mt. Ololokwe).
